This little mister was a surprise – well, sort of. We had scheduled to do a maternity session with his gorgeous Mama but Samuel decided he wanted to come a little early so it became a newborn session! He is such a sweet boy, I was fascinated by how intense he is and how incredibly handsome, little movie star baby! Look at that hair – it is so thick and luxurious he could do baby shampoo ads ;) He was soooo ready for his close-up, staring deeply into the camera (in between feedings of course!) and those little sleepy smiles! So cute! I had a lot of fun hanging out with him and his mom for the morning, obviously loving the images as I could barely narrow it down to just a few for the blog! Can’t wait to see you guys again and share the rest!

I photographed baby Charlotte this month with her parents in West Hollywood and during the session this little girl had only one thing on her mind… food! Charlotte ate and ate and ate until she finally slipped into a milk coma. We got a lot of adorable photos this little angel eating and sleeping and considering she is 3 months (an age where smiles seem few and far between) we were lucky enough to get a few smiles in there as well!

I photographed Miles’ mom and dad a few months ago while they were expecting baby Miles and completely fell in love with them so I was thrilled when they asked me to come back to photograph their newest addition! The family just moved into their new home in North Hollywood which provided for the perfect backdrop for Miles’ first photo shoot with all the poppy wall colors and natural light. Miles’ grandma even joined us for a few photos with her first grandson, she is the definition of the doting grandma! Here are a few of my favorites from their session, enjoy :)

Baby Aidan was SUCH a delight, his sweet little faces and coos – his incredible cooperation through all the different set-ups we wanted to try in order to best display his total and utter cuteness… thanks Aidan, for being such a sport! He was truly a gem – the whole family was so much fun to be around, their love for each other and excitement about Aidan just fills the air and makes you smile. Super-sweet Grandma and Grandpa were there for an emotional portrait, which I always love to capture. Thanks guys for a wonderful shoot – obviously I love them all as I couldn’t really narrow it down for the blog! Sooooo many more where these came from :)

Last week I photographed the BEAUTIFUL baby Jesse at his home in Los Angeles. Jesse was unlike any newborn I had ever met! He was only three weeks old and already smiling, giggling (yes, really giggling), holding his head up and even attempting to stand while holding onto his dad. I was very impressed with this little man’s skills but given that his dad was a football player it seems as though the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree! Since football will no doubt be a big part of Jesse’s life we just had to take some photos with his poppa’s foot ball memorabilia, his dad couldn’t have looked more proud :)

Baby Benicio – or “Benny” as they like to call him – is absolutely SO sweet and handsome! I have known this couple for a little while now and was so pleased when they asked me to come and photograph their little bundle of joy. He was such a darling baby, so mellowwwwww and alert and interested in what was going on around him. He and his parents are so beautiful together – don’t they all just glow? An absolute joy to photograph and I was so excited to be there. Congrats you guys, what a happy time – and baby makes three! Can’t wait to share the rest with you. :)

Last weekend I photographed the adorable Harrison with his family in South Pasadena. His grandma, aunt, uncle and even his cousins all stopped by during our session to visit with the family and have their portraits taken with the new bundle. His lovely mom is an interior designer so we made sure to get photos of Harrison with a few of her favorite pieces :) Here are a just a few of my favorites from their session, enjoy!

This weekend I photographed little Ethan and his family at their home in Cheviot Hills and had such a fun time with them. Though Ethan was having a particularly “rough” morning (I won’t go into too much detail on this… let’s just say his stomach had betrayed him just before my arrival) his dad kept me thoroughly entertained with his sarcasm and Ethan made a full recovery. Ethan’s mom was STUNNING and as for her perfect hair, she’s a professional! I was more than happy to spend my Sunday morning photographing this family and can’t wait to hang out with them again soon! Enjoy your sneak peek guys… can’t wait to show you the rest :)

Last week I photographed the birth of little Finn at Glendale Adventist Hospital and it was yet another reminder of how much I love my “job”. This couple’s display of emotion on this very special day was so contagious and I was once again reminded how lucky I am to both witness this miracle and capture it. I had a really difficult time picking just a few of my favorite images to share so there are a bit more than usual. Here are a few of my favorite photographs of Finn’s birth and the following day when I went back to visit them. Enjoy :)

I photographed Samantha’s lovely parents a few months ago when they were still expecting her and today finally got to see just how beautiful she turned out! This little lady is a total doll and was incredibly cooperative throughout the session. As you can tell from the photographs she slept through the majority of it… I just LOVE the sleepy newborn phase :) Here are a few of my favorites from today, I hope you enjoy them and Happy Mother’s Day Erica!
